The Final Stretch
The Final Stretch
Welcome back to the final term of 2025, with just seven weeks remaining before the conclusion of the academic year. A range of activities and end-of-year events are scheduled to help us finish the year strong; most of these will be communicated through our newsletters, so please continue to read them.
Our Year 11 Mission Trip was an outstanding success. The Fijian cultural immersion provided valuable realisations for all involved, and based on the positive feedback from staff, students, and parents, we remain convinced of the profound impact this once-in-a-lifetime experience has on our students and staff. It aligns strongly with our purpose of Revealing Jesus . I encourage you to consider opportunities to serve alongside your children in environments that differ socially or economically from their own. As Jesus taught us, ‘whatever you do for the least of these… you do for me’ (Matthew 25).
The apartment development behind the school is progressing, and our team is working closely with the builders to ensure the safety of all students. Further information about the proposed residential development can be found at Wahroonga Estate website. The official groundbreaking ceremony took place on Tuesday, and the project is scheduled for completion in 2027. As part of our commitment to remaining informed and ensuring that the risk mitigation measures outlined in the Development Application are implemented, we have engaged Mark Godbier, who has extensive experience in the building industry, to oversee compliance and facilitate clear communication between the builder and the school. Should you have any questions you wish us to address, please complete the Residential Build Questions form .
May the LORD continue to bless our school community as we navigate this final term together.
Keep us in your prayers as we plan for 2026.
God bless,
Craig Young
Principal

Chaplain's Message
Grassroots Ministry Starts in the Heart
Grassroots Ministry Starts in the Heart
One of the most inspiring things to witness in our school community is when faith takes root naturally among students. Recently, a small group of students decided to start a lunchtime Bible study—not because it was part of a program, but because they wanted to seek God together. What began with just a few friends gathering to read and pray has quietly grown into a group of around ten students meeting regularly. There’s no big event, no official launch—just hearts open to God’s Spirit and a desire to grow in faith together. It’s a beautiful reminder that ministry often begins not with structure, but with passion.
This grassroots ministry shows what happens when faith becomes personal and contagious. The students leading it didn’t wait for permission or a perfect plan—they simply followed the Spirit’s prompting, and others were drawn in. Their example reminds us that the most meaningful ministry doesn’t always come from the top down, but from hearts that are willing to listen, share, and act.
Our recent Year 11 mission trip to Vatu Vonu in Fiji echoed that same spirit. Away from our usual routines, we experienced a community that lives out faith through simple, heartfelt connection. The warmth, hospitality, and joy of the people we met reminded us that true ministry grows wherever people care for one another and invite God into their daily lives. Whether in a small Fijian village or around a lunch table at school, community thrives when hearts are open and faith is shared.
As we celebrate these stories, may we be reminded that real transformation starts within us—when we let God’s love overflow into the lives of those around us.
“Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” — Hebrews 10:24

Thank you to all for your efforts so far with fundraising. Due to your efforts, the students got to witness Mr Fulton, from our primary staff, and Mr Tait, from our secondary staff, get slimed today. Please check out our socials for video footage of the events.
The fundraising doesn’t stop here. There is still time to sign up and get the donations coming in. If you have already signed up, please get your individual codes sent out to family and friends so that they can donate to our primary school’s fundraising cause to improve our outdoor communal areas. Year 9 Camp
Year 9 Camp
At the end of last term, the Year 9 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure to the beautiful Royal National Park and Bouddi National Park, where they faced the exciting challenge of carrying their own packs and moving from campsite to campsite each day.
The camp tested their resilience and teamwork, but along the way, students enjoyed stunning scenery, learned valuable outdoor skills, and developed stronger friendships within their groups. Each evening, students came together to share stories, reflect on the day’s adventures, and enjoy a well-earned camp meal beneath the stars - the BBQ served by Mr. Coyte at Bonnie Vale, being a highlight for many.
The camp not only encouraged independence and perseverance but also strengthened friendships and created lasting memories. It was a rewarding and enjoyable experience for all who attended!

Last Week of Borrowing:
Borrowing will finish for all students at the end of Week 4 (November 7) allowing the library staff time to complete the annual end of year stock take. Please remind your children to bring their library bags over the next few weeks so they can take advantage of borrowing early in the term. It would be much appreciated if all books were returned promptly by the end of Week 6 (November 22).
If your child has outstanding loans or lost library books it is now time to either return these copies or provide a replacement copy of the missing book. At the end of the year a $25 per book replacement fee will be added to the students’ school accounts for all outstanding and unresolved loans.
If you are unsure of what books your child has out and when they are due back, please log on to the library WebApp at bit.ly/waslibrary and follow the instructions on the home page to access your child’s library records.
